ESTIMATION OF ROAD PROFILE USING SECOND ORDER SLIDING MODE OBSERVER

Abstract

This paper presents an algorithm to estimate the road profile. This method is based on a robust observer designed with a nominal dynamic model of vehicle. The estimation has been validated experimentally using a trailer equipped with position sensors and acceleration sensors.
