Abstract

In improving the energy efficiency of industrial plants, advanced standby control depicts a strategic instrument subject to various influences and with impacts on models and software tools along the entire plant lifecycle. In order to effectively switch plants and components to different levels of energy consumption, the required knowledge needs to be properly engineered and applied. This paper presents an overview of this knowledge and its interrelations in the industrial domain, with special focus on the requirements for automated generation of energy state models and switching paths. For these tasks, integrative approaches are proposed.
