INSERTION ANGLE TEACHING FOR AN ACUPUNCTURE TRAINING SYSTEM

Abstract
We are developing an acupuncture training system using virtual reality (VR) technology for teaching of oriental medical techniques. In this paper, special attention was paid in the insertion angle which is one of the most important actions in acupuncture. The training system and related teaching method were proposed for insertion angle training. The proposed system was evaluated with experiments, and the results were proved effective.
