Abstract

This paper introduces the Global Education Kids Project and its research on educational programs and activities able to provide global experiences for children around the world, supported by new media technologies. A global experience can be understood as a situation in which kids can get together with others, collaborate on works and actions, share knowledge, feelings, and moments of cultural exchange, reflection and friendship. This paper explains some of the elements necessary for designing an effective program for multicultural exchange that we discovered while conducting research and promoting and/or observing experiments.
