Abstract

This paper proposes a novel approach to automatic transformation of relational databases (written in SQL) to ontologies (written in OWL), where domains and constraints CHECK are also considered. The proposed approach can identify (inverse) functional, symmetric and transitive properties, cardinality and value restrictions, and enumerated classes and data types.
