Abstract

With the facilitations and results offered by automated management systems, more and more municipalities seek to eliminate physical documents by digitally storing their information. One of the direct consequences of that is the generation of a large volume of data. This paper proposes a model to support decision making based on self-organized maps. Applied to electronic government tools, this model can help identify unknown data patterns guiding the decision making process. For the accomplishment of the case study, available information from the city of Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil has been provided.
