Abstract

Our goal is to give recommendations for mobile users about interesting places around his current location. The only input is the user, location and time. In this work, we study whether the social network of the user can be utilized for improving recommendations. We will answer the following two questions: (1) can we measure user similarity based on their Facebook profile and location history, (2) do these imply usefulness for the recommendations.
